Hand sanitisers available through the premises, wearing masks when mandatory as per local regulations
Physical distancing with measures to regulate the flow of people, and right to deny entry to people in quarantine or showing flu-like symptoms

Measures in our teaching centre - information for paretns

Please be sure to discuss the measures with your child before their first class. Their teacher will also reinforce the message.

Class-size

  • To allow for 1.5 metre social distancing we are limiting the number of students in our classrooms to a max of between 6 and 9 depending on the size of the room. All students will have their own individual desk.

Limiting access to the premises

  • Only parents of children aged 6 and under (Learning Time with Timmy and Lower Primary Plus 1) students will be allowed as they must accompany their child into the premises.
  • Parents of all older children will escort their children to a pick-up point downstairs.

When your child arrives for class

  • To help avoid overcrowding, your child should aim to arrive for class no more than 5 min before the start of the lesson.
  • When they arrive downstairs, they will have their temperature checked by a hall monitor and and requested to sanitise their hands.
  • They will then go to the classroom using the stairs, respecting social distance and obeying any verbal instructions given by our staff.
  • Upon entering the classroom, they should proceed directly to their seat.
  • Masks must be worn at all times while your child is on the premises, both inside and outside the classroom.

Breaks

  • Before going to the toilet, students should disinfect their hands. Upon finishing they must wash their hands thoroughly with soap and water, drying them on paper towels and discarding the towel in the bin.
  • Students attending a longer class on Saturday will remain in the classroom during the break (unless they need a toilet break). We will have staff to monitor them during this period.

 Water and refreshments

  • Clean water will continue to be available from the water dispensers. Students should bring their own water bottle and refill it as required.
  • The canteen will not be available to serve drinks or provide snacks.

At the end of the lesson

  • Secondary students who have permission to leave can leave by themselves.
  • Parents will arrive downstairs at the appointed time and show the hall monitor their ID. Another hall monitor will then take your child downstairs and you will leave with them.

Measures in our exams venues

The health of our test takers and staff is our priority. Before we open any test venue:

  • We ensure that we are following all local government safety guidelines as well as those of the British Council.
  • We brief our staff so they are up to date on what to do and how to prepare for the arrival of test takers.

We have put the following measures in place to make our test centres as safe as possible:

  • Test venues will be cleaned thoroughly prior to each test session.
  • Our staff will be wearing masks.
  • You will be required to wear a mask at all times whilst you are in a test centre, and maintain physical distance at all times.
  • If you would like to, you may also wear latex gloves although this is not required.
  • We will provide sanitisers throughout the test venue and we ask that all test takers use them regularly or wash their hands to help ensure a safe environment.
  • We will not provide pens or pencils to test takers who will be asked to bring their own stationery on the test day.
